Paseo Testnet

Paseo is the primary Polkadot testnet, replacing Westend as the recommended environment for parachain and dApp development. It mirrors mainnet’s runtime and configuration so developers can test with realistic conditions before deploying to production.

PAS tokens are available from the official faucet for free, and the network includes core system chains: Asset Hub (token management), Bridge Hub (cross-chain bridging), People Chain (identity), and Coretime Chain (agile coretime). Parachain teams can also request a testnet slot for their own chain.

Where it fits: Pre-production testing for parachains, smart contracts, and cross-chain integrations.
