Le Nexus

Polkadot hub in Paris.

The Polkadot ecosystem has long been synonymous with innovation and decentralization, but its true strength lies in its communities. Recognizing this, “Le Nexus” emerges as a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to empowering the Francophone community within the Polkadot ecosystem. By fostering education, collaboration, and local organization, Le Nexus aims to establish itself as an influential force within Polkadot’s governance model, OpenGov.

Le Nexus Vision for Decentralized Collaboration

Le Nexus aspires to become more than a community hub. Inspired by the ethos of ChaosDAO, it takes a more open approach, enabling members to collectively shape its trajectory. The initiative’s ambition is twofold: to be a pivotal player in OpenGov and to inspire other communities by setting an example of effective local engagement.

Core Objectives of Le Nexus

Le Nexus has set clear and impactful objectives to drive its mission forward:

  1. Democratic Vote Delegation Service: Aiming to simplify participation in OpenGov, Le Nexus provides a democratic decision-making framework. Members can delegate their voting power to dedicated representatives who act in the best interest of the ecosystem. This service has already made a mark, participating in over 80 referendums during its pilot phase on Polkadot and Kusama.
  2. A Permanent Hacker Space in Paris: To serve as a physical hub for innovation, Le Nexus plans to establish a permanent Hacker Space in Paris. This space will facilitate collaboration among Web3 and Polkadot enthusiasts while generating revenue to support the initiative’s activities.
  3. Local Meetup-Bounty Program: Le Nexus envisions a bounty system to fund local meetups and events, reducing reliance on OpenGov. With a goal of hosting weekly Polkadot events across Francophone regions worldwide, this initiative aims to strengthen the community’s autonomy and engagement.
  4. A Space for Francophone Developers: To enhance the developer experience, Le Nexus has established a dedicated cell for Francophone Web3 developers. This platform encourages open dialogue, idea-sharing, and project co-creation, fostering innovation within the ecosystem.
  5. Francophone BizDev Unit: Recognizing the importance of native language in effective business development, Le Nexus offers a Francophone BizDev unit. This serves as a vital entry point for the dynamic Francophone Web3 community, bridging gaps and driving growth.
  6. Nomination Delegation Service: To support independent validators and simplify staking, Le Nexus plans to launch a nomination pool for Polkadot and Kusama. This service will empower holders and promote the ecosystem’s decentralization.
